Dale Carnegie Training features more than 2800 trainer/consultants in over 70 countries. Each has undergone at least 18 months of rigorous training to become certified in the Carnegie Process. Each is also required to take re-certification training annually. Caryn Vincent has been effectively interacting with professional people for the last 17 years. As a Marketing Representative and Project Manager for IBM, Caryn established positive working relationships with a variety of executives from all parts of the country. During this time Caryn developed the ability to present to client groups of all sizes from a wide variety of businesses and demographics. In her nine-year relationship with Dale Carnegie Training as a Trainer and Sales Consultant, Caryn further developed her confidence, effective communication, and strong presentation skills. She loves coaching and developing new trainers for the franchise. This allows her to share her desire to help others develop confidence and increase their effectiveness.

Caryn is also on track to become a certified Dale Carnegie Master Trainer. This certification allows her to join an elite group of only 40 people in the world who are highly skilled in the competencies and methodologies of Dale Carnegie. In this role she will be developing and training other trainers that have a desire to be certified as a Dale Carnegie Trainer.

In 2005, Caryn founded Action Communications, LLC to allow her to continue her passion while maintaining a balanced life. Through one-on-one Coaching, Caryn has had the opportunity to help many individuals reach goals and exceed expectations.

Accreditations include a Bachelors of Arts in Communications from Marquette University, completion of courses towards a Masters in Organizational Communication, ongoing qualification as a certified Dale Carnegie Course and High Impact Presentation Program Trainer; Certified Empowerment Coach through the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching; International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach and board member of the Connecticut chapter of the International Coaching Federation.

In her free time, Caryn enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children.

Bob Dickson
President


Mr. Bob Dickson is Franchise Owner & President of Dale Carnegie Training of Western CT. Dale Carnegie Training is the oldest training company in the world, based on Dale Carnegie's world famous best seller: "How to Win Friends and Influence People." Dale Carnegie has over 170 offices, both franchised and company owned, in 70 countries on 6 continents. Mr. Dickson joined the company in July of 2004.

In Bob's first year as President (2005), his team earned multiple awards including the prestigious Presidents Club Award and the highly regarded Rookie Franchise Award. In FY 2006, Bob's team earned the highest level of accomplishment, the Chairman's Club award.

Bob is a Certified Trainer for the Sales Advantage and Leadership Training for Managers.

Prior to joining Dale Carnegie, Bob worked for Automatic Data Processing (ADP) in the Dealer Services Division. He held multiple positions including: Sales, Marketing and Training. Bob was an award winning sales person earning multiple awards including four President Club Awards. Bob increased his territories output by fifty percent to over two million dollars and consistently exceeded his quota by at least 10% each year.

Bob is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University (1992) with a degree in Communications with emphasis in public relations/mass media and a minor in Marketing. In 1988, he graduated from the Dale Carnegie Course and, in 2004 he graduated from Dale Carnegie's Sales Advantage Program. Taking his leadership skills to the next level, Bob completed Dale Carnegie's Leadership Training for Managers program in 2004 and the Dale Carnegie High Impact Presentations program in 2006.

Mark Schneider
Senior Trainer

Mark Schneider is a Sales and Leadership trainer.

Mark is the co-founder and Managing Partner of AXIA Management, LLC, a real estate development firm. In his role he is responsible for financial analysis and acquisition of real estate, property sales and rentals, and day to day operation of the business.

Mark's training expertise emerged early in his career when he was a salesman, sales manager and trainer for the Dale Carnegie franchise in Pennsylvania. During his ten years as a certified Dale Carnegie trainer, he conducted numerous public courses and also specialized in developing and delivering customized corporate training.

Mark's business experience spans over 25 years. Most recently Mark spent three years with Smith & Nephew Endoscopy as Group Director of Digital Operating Room Sales. His vision and executive direction took the business from concept to over $25 million in annual sales.

Previous to Smith and Nephew Mark spent 10 years with the STERIS Corporation where he held numerous executive positions. As Area Vice President he successfully managed profit and loss for a $50 million sales and service division, and successfully negotiated both short term and long term business agreements of up to $15 million.

A native of Glastonbury, CT Mark now resides in Stamford where he is an active member of the community. He has served as team leader for the Rebuilding Together-Christmas in April Organization, managing 50 person teams that renovated homes in the Stamford and Greenwich communities. He has served as Church Council Member at St. John's Lutheran Church, where he co-chaired the Building Committee and the Financial Grants committees. Mark is an active member of the Stamford High School Band Parent organization, and FOSH scholarship committee, and is a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity - Bridgeport.

Kevin McCaffrey
Trainer

Kevin has been a training and organization development specialist in Connecticut for over 20 years. He got his start as the first Circulation Training Manager at the Hartford Courant, appointed to develop on-boarding programs for the department's high-turnover district manager position. His efforts resulted in a retention increase of 50% in the first year alone.

In staff and consulting roles, Kevin has developed over 100 training programs, in areas of professional and leadership development for a wide range of clients that includes MassMutual, Aetna Health Plans, and People's Bank.

Kevin is currently employed at the Institute for Excellence within the Yale New Haven Hospital Health System, responsible for the on-boarding of new employees, design and delivery within the department's Management Academy, and team building interventions within the various hospital units. His welcoming and engaging style has earned him consistently excellent ratings from his program participants. He became a certified Trainer in the Dale Carnegie Course in 2006.

Kevin received his Bachelors Degree in Journalism/English from the University of Massachusetts, and his Masters Degree in Organizational Management from Antioch New England Graduate School.

A native of Farmington, CT, Kevin now resides in Marlborough with his wife and two school-aged children. He is an active member of the community, currently serving his church as the Vice Moderator, and the Marlborough Junior Ancient Fife & Drum Corps as Communications Director. He continues to pursue his love for running, which in the past has earned him numerous honors on the Connecticut running scene, including CT Master Runner of the Year.





Kathleen Lynch-Cartine
Senior Trainer

Kathleen Lynch Cartine, has been employed as the Staff Educator at Greenwich Hospital for the past four 4 years. In this role, Kathleen is the friendly person all new employees meet first at their orientation. Prior to Greenwich Hospital, Kathleen worked as both a communications consultant and client service director, assisting clients with communication and marketing programs and professional development. Kathleen earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with graduate studies in Russian History at the University of Chicago. Armed with advertising experience and Russian language skills, she worked on the management team of a growing Russian agency in Moscow after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Upon returning to the U.S. Kathleen began training to become a Dale Carnegie instructor and became certified in 2001. Her passion is assisting others to reach their potential and achieve professional and personal success.

Shane Johnson
Trainer

Shane Johnson has been leading, briefing and training business professionals for 24 years since working for the White House in Washington, DC as Personal Representative to President Ronald W. Reagan. For a number of years following his work in the Reagan Administration, Mr. Johnson practiced corporate and transaction law in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. Recognizing the need for company's to better harness the human element in their organizations, he moved back to his birth state of Iowa to work as a leadership innovation consultant. During this phase of his career, he served as the interim Executive Pastor at Heritage Wesleyan Church in Rock Island, IL. There his desire to work in the ministry full time grew and led to his current position as Director of Operations for Cornerstone Christian Center in Milford, CT. Mr. Johnson has a law degree from the University of Wyoming and an Agriculture degree from Iowa State University. He is certified to teach the Dale Carnegie Course and High Impact Presentations.

Scott Fenwick

L. Scott Fenwick, founded Fenwick Consulting & Training over 15 years ago. Since that time, he has been assisting companies in their marketing and sales efforts through consultation and training services. Included on Scott's client list are companies such as Dale Carnegie Training NYC, Eyeblaster Inc, Strike LLC, Glenwood Management, Edith Roman Associates, Quality Letter Services, Inc., Rickard List Marketing, Statlistics, Inc. and 24/7 Real Media, Inc.

In addition to Fenwick Consulting & Training, Scott has worked within such prominent organizations such as 24/7 Real Media, Inc. Western Union, B'nai B'rith International, Procter & Gamble (Patient Care Products) and Scott Paper (Industrial Paper). He has been closely involved in the Direct Response industry where he learned the industry working within such distinguished data service pioneers as Printronic Corporation of America, MAGI, Database America Inc. and Direct Access Marketing Services.

As an independent trainer, Scott is the senior Sales Advantage Trainer for Dale Carnegie Associates in NYC, Westchester, Long Island and Connecticut and has developed custom training programs for such companies as Rickard List Marketing, Eyeblaster, Inc., Hergo Technologies, and 24/7 Real Media Inc. In addition, Scott has developed numerous programs for New York area colleges and Universities including, but not limited to New York University, Hofstra University and Queens College.

A graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Scott's career has revolved around the world of Sales & Marketing whether independent, partnering his own Marketing Agency or serving as a company's marketing contact. Scott is married and has two daughters.
